What Can An Aspergers School Offer Your Family?
Although Seven Stars is located in Utah, we do help teens from all over the country. In fact, it can be beneficial to send your teen away from home to receive treatment.
Our Aspergers school consists of residential and wilderness therapy. While on campus, our students are engaged in numerous social and academic activities. The goal here is to realize that with a different perception of their surroundings and other people, teens need to develop a different approach to deal with everyday situations and to successfully communicate with the people around them. By interacting with other students that suffer from similar disorders, and through individual and group therapy, our students will get better and better at expressing themselves and be more aware of other people’s emotions.
While off campus, teens will experience the natural beauty of Utah, learn outdoor skills, and be more self-sufficient.
At the end of the program (that can last up to four months), our Aspergers school creates a multidisciplinary report for the parents so they can see how much of a progress their child has made and what to do next.
Our Aspergers School Helps Teens Achieve Success
Seven Stars is an aspergers school for teens struggling with emotional, academic, and social challenges. Unlike other aspergers schools, Seven Stars provides comprehensive therapeutic programming in addition to accredited academic programming. Seven Stars takes a unique approach to helping struggling teens, combining outdoor adventure therapy, residential treatment, diagnostic services, and positive psychology.
Seven Stars is located in Utah. However, we help families from all over the country. By removing teens on the autism spectrum from their everyday environment, this will allow for a break in the routines common among teens on the spectrum.
Although some parents may be hesitant about breaking the routines that their teens hold dearly, its important to note that habits and routines change over time. Breaking routines leads to improved habits.
At our aspergers school, we help teens reach their fullest potential. Throughout our programming, students learn to be:
- Self Determined: Students find what motivates them. They discover their strengths, passions, and interest.
- Self Aware: Students become more emotionally aware.
- Self Confident: Students feel unique, worthy, and special.
- Self Directed: Students learn what their needs are and the most healthy way to meet them.
Why Choose Seven Stars?
Seven Stars, an Aspergers school for teens on the spectrum, provides academic and therapeutic assistance to struggling teens.
By combining different types of therapies into one, we created a comprehensive program that contains everything that is needed for a successful treatment of social and academic challenges. But we don’t just help teens get temporarily better. Our goal is to provide them with a plan that will help them for the rest of their lives and allow them to lead a happier, more successful life.
After a thorough examination of available types of therapies, we concluded that the residential and wilderness therapy work very well together. Both are crucial for teens to find their peace and become valuable members of the society.
In our Aspergers school, we work with boys and girls, ages 13-18. For every single one of them, we develop a unique combination of individual and group therapy so they can get the most out of our program. With our thorough assessment, we are able to determine their social and academic skills and challenge them accordingly and give them tasks we know they can accomplish.
